The Town of Sandwich consists of the villages of Sandwich village, E. Sandwich, S. Sandwich, and Forestdale.
"The oldest town on the Cape" is also one of the most beautiful and serene, rich in local history and beauty. Sandwich has numerous museums, such as Sandwich Glass and the Yesteryears Doll Museum, as well as Heritage Plantation. Many antique stores and gracious old houses are found throughout the town, especially within the Dexter's Grist Mill area and along Route 6A. Sandwich Marina provides access to the beauty of the Cape Cod Canal and adjacent Service Road area, perfect for bike riding, rollerblading and walking. Sandwich's beaches are noted for their changing landscapes, constantly eroded and rebuilt by time and tide. Other sites of interest include the Hoxie House, Sandwich Boardwalk and the Thorton Burgess Museum.
