Dear Wellfleet community: Would any of you be willing to send me an e-mail with information about the best way to travel (without renting a car) from Boston Logan Airport to Wellfleet? I will be traveling to Wellfleet for the first time in August, and will be arriving at Logan Airport on a Saturday mid-morning. Bus? Train? Ferry? ... Any information would be much appreciated! With thanks in advance, Philip M. Alex (alexpm@earthlink.net)
David Gangi of Boston/Wellfleet said... I think the property tax assessment for homes overlooking Wellfleet Harbor should be reduced if only due to the fact they now overlook commercial property (aquaculture). These homes have the highest tax rate of any residences in Wellfleet, based solely on the quality of view they afford. Class-action suit????? If you're at all interested, then post something!!!

Andrea of Baltimore, MD said... We're looking for an additional party of 1-3 persons to join us July 28th for a charter fishing trip. The adventure starts at 7am and ends noon time--everything is included except your food and drink. We're a party of three only and the boat can take out up to 6. We thought if we could find some other interested people we could lower the cost. The total for the 5-hour charter is $340, so we thought maybe $40 or $50 each to join in.

Herb and Sara of Leadville, CO said... Is anyone familiar with an old Wellfleet home known for the first 60 years of the 1900's as "The House on the Hill"? It was owned and occupied for many years by Mrs. Voorhees S. Anderson called Flos or Flossie (my great aunt). Before her death in the early 60's she sold the home to a Lazarus family. I believe the property is located on what was once called 'the dump road'. I am planning to visit Wellfleet in April, after an absence of over 10 year. I'm also looking for a 1 0r 2 BR place to rent. Prefer a water view (The Bay) or near downtown. Let me hear from you!! Herb
