The Town of Bourne consists of the villages of Bourne, Pocasset, Bournedale, Buzzards Bay and Sagamore. Bourne beaches include Monument Beach and Scusset Beach. Bourne provides access to the western portion of the Cape Cod Canal and the Service Road area, where one can view the historic Bourne and Sagamore bridges along with the Bourne Train Bridge. Although technically it is its own town, Otis Air National Guard Base is also in Bourne, and many children go to elementry school on the Base. The 102nd Fighter Wing, a Coast Guard Air Station, and the Barnstable House of Corrections are all located on the Base as well.
